Description
Samson Siasia Sports Stadium is a 5,000-capacity multi-use stadium located in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. It's primarily used for football matches and serves as the home stadium for Ocean Boys FC and Bayelsa United. The stadium features an environmentally friendly astro turf pitch, making it the first of its kind in Africa. Built by Monimichelle Sports Facility Construction and Development Ltd, the stadium was previously known as Yenagoa Township Stadium before being rededicated in 2009 in honor of Samson Siasia, a renowned Nigerian soccer player and coach.
